May - Y3 Girls' Friendly Football Match
St Oswald's 8 - 6 Ss Peter and Paul
Well done to our Y3 girls’ football team for doing so well in their first football match. In a very entertaining game, both teams played great football and scored some fantastic goals. The goals for SsPP were scored by Teegan (2), Nancy (2), Molly and Mae.
April - U11 boys' Bishop's Cup Quarter Final
St Paul's 0 - 1 Ss Peter and Paul
In another close match, Ss Peter and Paul edged through to the semi-final with a 1-0 victory against St Paul's. There were chances at both ends with both goalkeepers having excellent matches. The only goal was scored by Sam after a great run and finish. Man of the match was Spencer
April - U11 boys' Leeds and Holbeck Cup Semi-Final
St Joseph's, Wetherby 2 - 1 Ss Peter and Paul
In a high quality match, St Joseph's edged out Ss Peter and Paul with a goal in the final minute. It was a competitive match from the start with St Joseph's taking a deserved lead in the first half. Ss Peter and Paul fought hard to get back into the match and an excellent finish from Sam gave them a deserved equaliser. Finn and Sam both went close to a winner before a late corner was headed home. Good luck in the final, St Joseph's!
April - Y5 Mixed Football Friendly Match
Ss Peter and Paul 1 - 3 St Oswald's
Well done to our mixed Y5 team who took part in a football match this afternoon against St Oswald’s. It was an excellent match played in a great spirit - our goalscorer was Louis. Well done to St Oswald's for their victory.

Rufford Park 1 - 5 Ss Peter and Paul
Congratulations to the U11 boys’ football team who ended their league season this afternoon with their 10th win out of 10 games after a 5-1 victory over Rufford Park. Goals from Finbar (3) and man of the match Sam (2). Well done to the whole team.

Rawdon Littlemoor 0 - 5 Ss Peter and Paul
Well done to the U11 boys’ football team for clinching the North West league title with 9 wins out of 9 after a 5-0 victory over Rawdon Littlemoor. Goals from Sam (2), Finbar, Rocco and Finn. A fantastic team performance with Shea taking the man of the match award.

Well done to our U11 girls’ team for a fantastic performance in their 7-3 victory over St Oswald’s. The goals were scored by Florence (5), Maisey and Alice. Well done to both teams for a wonderful game.

Well done to our KS1 Multi-Skills team who had a brilliant time at Abbey Grange High School this afternoon, taking part in a number of fun sporting activities.

Newlaithes 1 - 2 Ss Peter and Paul
Despite the sleet and snow, the U11 boys’ football team made it 8 wins out of 8 in the league with a 2-1 victory over Horsforth Newlaithes. Well done to the whole team for a fantastic, battling display. Goals from Finn and an own goal; man of the match was Rocco.
March - U8 girls' Football
Ss Peter and Paul 8 - 1 St Oswald's
Well done to our U8 girls’ football team who played their first match for school this afternoon and played incredibly well during their victory against St Oswald’s. Well done to both teams for a great game.

Congratulations to the U11 boys’ football team for a 2-0 quarter final victory against St Patrick’s in the Bishop’s Cup. Goals from Sam and Shea. Shea was also named man of the match. Well done to the whole team.
February - U11 Boys' Football League
Rawdon Littlemoor 1 - 3 Ss Peter and Paul
An excellent team performance kept up the U11 boys' winning run. Two good finishes from man of the match Finbar, and an excellent strike by Spencer, gave the team a 3-1 victory.
February - KS2 Cross Country Leeds Final
A big well done to our 13 runners in KS2 who qualified for the Leeds Cross Country final at Temple Newsam. The children performed with great determination and perseverance to complete the testing course.
February - U11's Football - Leeds and Holbeck Cup
Rufford Park 2 - 4 Ss Peter and Paul
In a very entertaining match between two excellent teams, Ss Peter and Paul came out on top and qualified for the quarter finals of the cup. A goalless first half was high on quality with Tom striking the bar from fully 20 yards out. In the second half, the goals came aplenty! First Finn gave SsPP the lead, before 2 quickfire goals from Rufford Park put them ahead. SsPP fought back though and two more excellent finishes from Finn and a good goal from Finbar gave SsPP the victory. Congratulations to the whole team, particularly man of the match and hat-trick hero ,Finn!
January - Y4 Ice Skating Experience
Children in Y4 had a wonderful visit to Planet Ice in Beeston where they took part in an ice skating coaching session. They really enjoyed the opportunity.
December - KS2 Cross Country League
A big well done to the 8 children in KS2 who represented the school so well at the latest Cross Country League meet at GSAL. The children ran brilliantly, and we are very proud of them all.
December - Y4 Skipping Workshop
Children in Y4 took part in a fantastic afternoon of skipping. They really enjoyed developing their skills and showed wonderful improvements.
November - U11 Girls' League Match
Ss Peter and Paul 2 - 2 Rawdon Littlemoor
Despite the muddy conditions, Ss Peter and Paul and Rawdon Littlemoor played out an entertaining 2-2 draw. Ss Peter and Paul had the better of the first half and had a number of near misses before Emma, with an excellent finish, and Isla, with a good run and shot, gave Ss Peter and Paul a 2-0 half time lead. Rawdon fought back well in the second half though and scored two good goals in the final 5 minutes to make the final score 2-2. Well done to both teams for an excellent match.
November - U9s Cup Match V Shadwell
Well done to our U9s boys' football match who played their first match for school against Shadwell. Despite losing 4-0, the team played with great determination and team spirit and represented the school very well.
November - Year 5/6 Boys' Football Match
Well done to our team of Y5/6 boys who played very well in a friendly match against St Joseph's. The team had a number of players playing their first match for school and competed very well. Congratulations to St Joseph's who won 4-0.
November – Y4 Dodgeball
A team of 9 children in Y4 had a fantastic time playing in a dodgeball tournament at Ralph Thoresby High School. The team took part in a number of matches against other schools and finished in 3rd place overall. Well done to the whole team for representing the school so well.
November – U11 Boys’ Football League
Ss Peter and Paul 4 – 0 Rufford Park
Our U11 boys' football team continued their unbeaten start to the season with an excellent performance in a wonderful match against Rufford Park. The standard of play was very high and Ss Peter and Paul had to be at their best to overcome their challenging opponents. A calm finish into the corner from Spencer gave Ss Peter and Paul a deserved lead and an excellent finish from Finbar increased their lead. Finbar added a third before half time before Tom D added the icing on the cake in the second half. The whole team impressed with Rocco man of the match for an outstanding defensive display.
November – U10 Boys’ Cup
Our U10 boys' football team did very well playing their first game for school. Congratulations to Immaculate Heart who played very well and thoroughly deserved their victory. Despite losing, the team, who were all playing their first game for school, never gave up and hit the post twice and forced a number of good saves. Well done, U 10s.
November – U11 Boys’ Football League
West End 2 – 3 Ss Peter and Paul
The U11 boys’ team continued their unbeaten start to the season with a hard-fought victory against West End. Despite dominating the first half, West End’s goalkeeper was in fine form and they took a 2-0 half time lead. Ss Peter and Paul didn’t give up though and two goals from Tom D brought the teams level. More great goalkeeping from the West End goalkeeper, as well as hitting the bar once and the post twice, looked like it was going to frustrate Ss Peter and Paul before Sam’s cross was brilliantly headed in by Finbar to give the team the win. Man of the match was Tom D for an excellent all round display.
November – U11 Girls’ Football League
Ss Peter and Paul 7 – 1 Newlaiths
The girls’ U11 team continued their great start to the season with a fantastic win over Newlaiths. In a great match from both teams, Poppy made a number of brilliant saves to help the team go 4-0 up in the first half. The team continued to play well as a team with the final score being 7-1. The goals were from: Isla (3), Florence (3) and Iris (1). Player of the match was Ciara for a brilliant defensive display.
November – U11 Boys’ Football – Leeds and Holbeck Cup
Holy Family 1 – 10 Ss Peter and Paul
A fantastic team performance ensured Ss Peter and Paul progressed to the next round of the Leeds and Holbeck cup. Hat-tricks for Spencer and Finbar, 2 goals for Finn and goals for Shea, Sam and Thomas H gave the team an excellent win. Man of the match was Spencer but well done to the whole team.
October – Cross Country League
Well done to the 6 children who took part in the cross country league meeting at Cardinal Heenan. Everyone ran really well to complete the course.
October – KS2 Cross Country
We are very proud of the 40 children who represented the school in the KS2 cross country competition. They all showed great team spirit and fantastic determination to complete the testing course. Well done, everyone! A special congratulations to our Y3 and Y4 girls’ teams who have qualified for the Leeds final in February.
October – Y4/5 Cricket
A team of Y4/5 children had a wonderful morning of cricket at Leeds Mods cricket club. They enjoyed taking part in a number of coaching activities led by St Mary’s sportleaders before playing two matches against other schools. The team won both matches and really enjoyed the whole morning’s experience.
October – U11 Girls’ Football
Ss Peter and Paul 9 – 5 Meanwood Girls
The U11 girls’ team started their season with an excellent 9-5 victory against Meanwood. The team played very well together and scored some fantastic goals. The goals were scored by Isla (5), Florence (3) and Emma (1), and player of the match was Florence.
September – U11 Boys’ Football
Newlaiths 5 – 6 Ss Peter and Paul
Our U11 boys’ team started their league season with a thrilling match at Newlaiths. It was an action packed first half with Ss Peter and Paul going behind on 4 occasions before striking back each time to make the half-time score 4-4. The second half performance was more controlled and the team played very well to finish as 6-5 winners. The goals were scored from Sam (2), Thomas H (2), Finn (1) and an own goal. Man of the match was Thomas H.
September – Netball Taster Session
Mrs Machell took a team of Y5/6 girls to a netball taster session at St Mary’s, Menston. The girls really enjoyed taking part in a number of different training sessions and matches against other schools.
