The Catholic Life of Our School

Congratulations to the children who represented our school at the Good Shepherd Mass with Bishop Marcus in Leeds Cathedral and well done to everyone for raising so much money during Lent to help those in need.

The whole school community - children, staff, parents and parishioners - enjoyed coming together for our annual May Procession today.  It was a very wonderful celebration of Mary, our Mother!

Y5 had an incredible time at Herd Farm on their overnight retreat.  As part of their night away, they started their preparations for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  As you can see, the children also took part in other prayerful experiences including meditation, daily worship, making prayer spinners and a kindness tree as well as a lovely experience of night prayer!

The children in Y4 animated the parish Sunday morning Mass as they begin their preparations for the Sacrament of the Eucharist!

The whole school community enjoyed celebrating Mass together to begin our new term!

Y5 shared an incredible dramatisation of Jesus' passion, death and resurrection.  This was really thought provoking and a wonderful way to reflect as part of our preparations during Lent!  After the production, the Faith in Action group enjoyed serving the Parish Friendship Group some light refreshments!

Our Faith in Action group led all children in school in a meditative Stations of the Cross procession!

All of KS2 enjoyed a Lent Reconciliation Service led by Year 4 followed by individual confessions with Fr David.

Year 3 celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation with their families during Lent!

All our children enjoyed taking part in fun activities to raise money for the Good Shepherd Appeal during Lent - including Wacky Hair Day and an exciting game of Beetle Drive!

Y3 enjoyed leading the Parish Sunday Mass as part of their preparations for the Sacrament of Reconciliation!
